Guild - Polara - Night Edition - 99-743-0030

The Next Generation.

The Polara has been a standout in the Guild solid-body lineup since the early 1970s. From hard-hitting riffs by Soungarden's Kim Thayil and many others across all genres, the Polara is a versatile instrument with a vibe all its own.

- Tungsten gloss finish
- All-black hardware including black metal headstock Peak logo
- Mahogany body and neck with Ebony fingerboard
- Single uncovered HB-2+ Humbucker pickup with Alnico V magnets
- Rotomatics style tuners
- Guild tune-o-matic bridge and string-thru ferrules

Pickup Switching:

1. Bridge (Hum Canceling): This position has the most "edge" or "bite". Overwound for a big, powerful tone without sounding too dark, a great tool to push an amp into singing distortion. Perfect for solos or in-your-face rhythm parts, the HB-2+ humbucker possesses a bold, rich tone that is equally capable in any musical style.
2. Bridge + Neck (Hum Canceling): This position combines the tonalities of the neck and bridge humbuckers. Thick creamy mids, big round bass and clear trebles make this a great all-around tone.
3. Neck (Hum Canceling): This position produces a warm, round tone great for anything from singing lead lines to clean rhythm lines.
